YNP: Rancheria Falls at O'Shaughnessy Dam, Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, Yosemite

Easy 5-mile out and back to Wapama Falls or moderate 13-mile out and back to Rancheria Falls.Parking & Trail Head: Shortly before O'Shaunessey Dam. Elevation:  3728 feet at trailhead, 800 foot gain on trail.We will carpool and caravan with the goal of meeting at the trail head by 9:15am.Fee:  $20 park entrance fee or pass.Dinner:  Potluck at trailhead after hike.The Hetch-Hetchy gate closes at 9PM.No dogs on this one.See More

Ocean to Berry Creek Falls, Big Basin S.P. at Waddell Beach: Rancho Del Oso entrance to Big Basin State Park

Trail Head: Waddell Beach at Hwy 1.We'll carpool and caravan with the intention of arriving at 10am.Moderate 12-mile up and back from Waddell Beach to Berry Creek Falls in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Sea level to 400 ft elevation. Trail head location is 15 miles south of Pescadero Rd. on Hwy 1. $10/car parking fee. No dogs allowed.Dinner: Possibly the Flying Fish Grill in Half Moon Bay.See More

YNP: Cathedral Lakes at Yosemite

Cathedral Lakes Trail from Tioga Road in Tuolumne Meadows. Moderate 7-mile up and back on the John Muir Trail.About 1000 ft. elevation gain and loss. We can choose to hike to either the lower lake or upper lake or both.Trail head is in Tuolumne Meadows at 8500 ft.We will carpool and caravan with the goal of reaching the trail head by 10am.Fee: $20 park entrance fee or pass.Dinner: We'll pot luck at the trail head.No dogs on this one.See More
