Conness Lakes

Moderate 6.5-mile up and back from Saddlebag Lake day use parking lot to the first lake. 550 foot elevation gain beginning at 10,100 ft. More mileage and elevation to explore all six lakes.

Note: The water taxi is not running this year.

Trail Head: Saddlebag Lake day use parking lot.

Conness Lakes location: Monroe Hall Research Natural Area.

Rides: Must make arrangements since most regular drivers will be camping at Saddlebag Lake.

Note: Dale can take up to four passengers at the BK in Oakdale.

Fees: $30 Yosemite entrance fee or Pass to drive through the park.

Dinner: Trail Gate at the campsites.

Dogs: Prohibited in Monroe Hall Research Natural Area however we saw many dogs on the trail last year. Dogs are welcome on alternate hike Twenty Lakes Loop.
