Event Description
Photo: Mt. Hoffman & May Lake.
Location: May Lake Trail Head, May Lake Rd. off of Tioga Road in Yosemite.
Weather: Sunny & about 70 degrees.
Elevation: 8,800 ft. at trail head, 10,850 ft. at summit.
Mileage: 6.5 miles up and back.
Difficulty: Moderately strenuous 2000 ft. elevation gain.
Transportation: Rented 18-passenger van and borrowed 6-passenger pick-up truck.
Lunch and dinner: Catered.
Menu: Brunch of Beck's Mediterranean Wraps, Chips, Juice, Apples. Dinner of Terrence's Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwiches on Ciabatta, Beck's Antipasto Pasta Salad, Terrence's Bean Salad, Melissa's Veggie Pizza, Eric's Spicy Shrimp, Terrence's Melon Medley, Eric's Ginger Cookies & home made ice cream.
Bar: Beer & wine.
Fee: $50 per person.

Comments: Weather was perfect, pit toilet was closed at May Lake, hike was difficult for initial hike, food was fabulous.

I am so glad to be a part of the Inspiring Heights Hiking Community for Women. There is something about coming together to achieve a goal that truly inspires and refines us. Having the ability to build one another up, give encouragement and behold the beauty of the nature around us in community with one another, is truly an experience worth the effort. I encourage anyone that visits this page to please check out our upcoming Day Hike in Yosemite National Park. Come experience the peace, freedom, and feeling of accomplishment by making the climb up Mt. Hoffman.
