Comments: Snowed for four days prior to the hike. The forecast for the day of hike was dicey at best. Driving on Big Oak Flat Road the morning after a Thursday night snow was wondrous. The weather for hiking: perfect temp for ten hours, very little breeze, no mosquitoes. From dicey to sublime.

Friday is my normal day off but I've asked for a lot of time off in may so things will be iffy. Just to let you know, it snowed as recently as last night in the park, so let people know they should bring a set of warm clothes, just in case.
