Weather: Light rain in the morning. Cold and windy at the beach only. Very comfortable on the trail.
Trail Head: Waddell Beach at Hwy 1.
Easy to moderate 12-mile up and back from Waddell Beach to Berry Creek Falls in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Sea level to 400 ft elevation.
Trail head location is 15 miles south of Pescadero Rd. on Hwy 1.
No parking fee.
No dogs allowed.
Flora: Coastal Tarweed, Common Horsetail, Forget-Me-Nots, Fairy Lantern, Agoseris, Summer Lupine, Crimson Clover, Coast Indian Paintbrush, Turkeytail Fungus.
Fauna: Coastal California Newt, Banana Slug.
Dinner: The Flying Fish Grill in Half Moon Bay.

Comments: The morning rain made the forest dewey and the creeks run full. Coastal Newts were everywhere as were the wildflowers.
