Trail head: Kirkwood Powerhouse on the Tuolumne River
Distance: 8.8 miles, out and back.
Trail head elevation: 2450 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate to easy with just 300 ft. elevation gain and loss.
Leashed dogs are welcome.
Fees: none
On 12/04: dozens of Sierra Newts were spotted crossing the trail.
