Event Description

Trail Head: BART Station at 16th and Mission.

Leader: Eric Teberg.

Fee: $11.40 RT BART ticket from Dublin to the 16th/Mission Station.

Transportation: Carpool, BART, & foot.

Description: About a 7-mile walk which combines four hikes in the Eureka, Noe Valley, Twin Peaks and Corona Heights neighborhoods.

Elevation: 34ft at BART, 786 ft on Mount Sutro.

Weather: Mostly sunny with a high around 60 degrees. Windy and chilly at the top of Mount Sutro.

Dinner: La Mediterranee.

Dessert: Sweet Inspirations.

Comments: The slides were a fun surprise. Hikers were hither and yon, but the route and day were beautiful and everyone had a good time.

Comment by Kathy Morley on February 18, 2013 at 9:58am: I was looking forward to this outting this year but I have plans to go snowshoeing with the outdoor school class up at Silver Lake the next day. Not knowing how I would do with a 2 day adventure, I rather save my knees for snowshoeing. I did a 3 1/2 miles snowshoeing trip up at Loon Lake which I say was a 4hr all terrain hike.

I have taken the time off for the hikes on March 16th and 30th.
