Moderate 8.5-mile out and back through the Rim Fire burn to Kibbie Lake. Some of us will be looking for unusual wildflowers that may be there due to the 2013 fire.
Land Status: Emigrant Wilderness for the first mile, then cross into Yosemite National Park at Kibbie Ridge at the 1-mile mark.
Parking and Trail Head: Kibbie Ridge Trail head at the end of a dirt road, 5.7 miles beyond Cherry Valley Dam gate (west side). 4WD or high clearance vehicles recommended.
Fees: None.
Transportation: We'll carpool and caravan with the intention of arriving at the trail head at 10am. Some of us will be backpacking overnight, so I'll be arranging cars, drivers and riders early in the week.
No dogs on this one.
Dinner: Whatever the day-hikers choose.

This is my first event. Where and what time do people meet for this Saturday's hike?
