Event Description

This trail follows the Old Big Oak Flat Road.

Description: From Hodgdon Meadow Campground to Tuolumne Grove parking lot at Tioga Road, it can be a moderate 9.6-mile up and back with an elevation gain and loss of 1400 ft. Or shorten the hike by turning around at any point.

Parking and Trail Head: Hodgdon Meadow Campground to the north at the lower end.

Fee: Park entrance fee of $35 or pass.

Dogs: This is a rare Yosemite trail where dogs are allowed the entire distance, so bring the puppers.

Dinner: Trailgate or restaurant.
