Jacques, the most photographed member of Inspiring Heights, died in Sam's arms last Thursday after a short decline in health. He was 98 in dog years. We will miss him.  Now, without Jacques, Sam will have to clean his kitchen floor. Oops!…

I tasted the Merced as it played-sprayed all misty upon me.

I cooled my feet in the San Joaquin while bucks and…

Climb the Mountains

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Natures peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The wind will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.... - John Muir

We Can Rebuild Her

Hi Becky,

Tried to guess Sam's email and decided to log on here. Dan told me last night. I'm so sorry!!! I was trying to figure when I could see you if you were still going to be in the hospital. Like another blogger said, if you have any sweet desires of contraband food or spa treatments you never get the time for otherwise, say the word. I'm…

Hawley Grade

Hello,

Never blogged before, so here goes. Tackled the Hawley Grade hike today. First hike post-op so a little rough on the uphill side. Only a 4.2 mile hike but it's continual uphill on the way up.

Will try to post a few pictures soon, but my busy week is starting. Nice view of Lake Tahoe from the trail. People pictures were in shadow, but the… Continue
