Event Description

Photo: Gerry, Jackie, Jeanette & Lisa with Rocky and Zack in meadow above North Fork Stanislaus River.

Trail head: Stanislaus River, Hwy 4.

Land Status: Carson-Iceburg Wilderness.

Fee: None.

Weather: Mid-sixties.

Trail head elevation: 7900 ft.

Difficulty: Moderate with 1000 ft. elevation gain.

Flora: Emerging Corn Lillies.

Dinner: Pot luck at the trail head.

Participants: (7) Eric Teberg, Terrence Barnett, Jeanette Farley, Gerry Fait, Jackie Lederle, Lisa Teberg, Becky Teberg. Canine: Jacques, Rocky, Zack.

Comments: Good weather but too much snow and high water. Terrence twisted an ankle in the snow. The rest of us were stopped by the swollen North Fork Stanislaus River. We actually hiked only about 3.5 miles.

Hiya,
If we don't burn ourselves out the week before, we're in but it's up in the air. Had a GREAT time Saturday. Dan and I plan on going one time when we can camp and start early enough to make it. Beautiful.
