Trip Notes - Castle Rock SP Loop: Saratoga Gap and Ridge Trails

Trail head is at 3090 ft at the Castle Rock main entrance.

Weather: Partly Cloudy & about 64 degrees.

Parking fee is $8/car or $7/car for seniors.

Mileage: This is a 6 mile loop with a couple of scrambles.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. The elevation loss and gain was about 800 feet.

Fauna: Spotted Towhee

No dogs on this one.

Dinner: Blue Rock Shoot on Big Basin Way

Notes: Saratoga Gap Trail was nice but Castle Rock area was crowded. The Thai Restaurant was closed so we went to reasonably priced Blue Rock Shoot where they fill your wine glass to the brim.
