Trail head: Bear Creek Day Use parking lot.
Weather: Low sixties after a week of rain. Rain clouds all around but sunny above us.
Elevation: 1276 ft. at the trail head, 2584 ft. at the highest point.
Mileage: 6.0 mile loop.
Difficulty: Moderate 1300 ft. elevation change. Narrow caves and steep & narrow trail.
Transportation: Car pool.
Fee: $6.00 per car entrance fee.
Dinner: Cafe Ella's in Hollister.

Comments: Lots of water. The trail for the proposed hike to the Balconies Caves was flooded. The trail that we took was described as magical. The food at Cafe Ella's was superb but expensive and it took a long time to be served.
