Weather: Sunny and low seventies.
Trail Head: The Los Banos Reservoir boat launch parking lot.
Fee: Discounted $15/person boat ticket. Free parking past.
Transportation: Carpool and caravan to arrive at the boat launch at 7:30am.
Guided tour and boat ride: $15 per person fee, 8AM launch time. Rain or Shine. Actually launched at about 8:20.
23 person boat limit plus two guides.
Steve prepaid all boat tickets and was fully reimbursed.
Description: Boat ride across Los Banos Creek Reservoir. Easy guided historical and geological hike up Los Banos Creek and back. Basic hike plus wanderings made about seven miles. 600 ft. elevation change.
No dogs on this guided tour.
Flora: Much fewer wildflowers in this drought year.
Fauna: Tarapins, Lizards, Falcons.
Dinner: Espana's Southwest Bar & Grill in Los Banos.

Notes: Shrunken reservoir due to the drought necessitated change of dock location which lengthened the hike. No cows this time but a lot of cow bones. No snake sightings. Very low grass and few wildflowers. Welcomed Brent Gilbreath and Diana & Jeff Dickey to the group.
