Event Description

Trail Head: Skeggs Point on Skyline Blvd.

Fee: $0.
Weather: Sunny, about 60 degrees and windy at times.

Elevation: 2316 ft. at the trail head and 1273 at the lowest point of Methuselah Trail.

Mileage: 5.0 to about 8.6 using El Corte De Madera Creek, North Leaf, Methuselah, Resolution, Fir and Tafoni Trails.

Fauna: Black snake which a local Herp group is trying to identify.

Dinner: Celia's Mexican in San Mateo.

Notes: No pit toilets at the trail head. Many cyclists on the trails but they were polite. I thought the food at Celia's lacked color and flavor but the Margaritas were good.
