Photo: Hikers on the Barnabe Road Trail.

Weather: Sunny with a high of 66 degrees.
Moderate 6.3-mile loop with a 1100 ft elevation gain to the top of Barnabe Peak at 1466 ft.
Flora: Scotch Broom, False Solomon's Seal, Bush Lupine, Checkerbloom.
Fauna: Sonoma Red Chipmunk.
Trail Head: Camp Taylor day-use parking lot.
Parking Fee: $8 per car.
No dogs on this one.
Dinner: Grilled burgers at the campsite.
