Trail Head: Bear Gulch Day Use Parking Lot, The Pinnacles National Park east entrance.
Fee: $5.00/car entrance fee paid at the visitor's center.
Trail Head Elevation: 1280 ft.
Description: Moderate 7.8-mile loop through Bear Gulch Cave and up High Peaks Trail with a short .5-mile down-and-back to Tunnel Trail before completing on Condor Gulch Trail.
Elevation Change: 1368 ft., some of which is repeated.
Weather: Mostly Sunny, high fifties.
Flora: Indian Warriors, Shooting Star.
Fauna: Deer, ground squirrels.
Birds: Many California Condors.
Dinner: Build-A-Burrito pot luck at Nick & Nina's campsite.

Notes: Many Condor sightings this time. The Build-A-Burrito pot luck was beyond compare. The racing, prancing deer put on a show at dinner. The Sousas from Indiana have the distinction of traveling the farthest for an I/H hike.
