Flora: Indian Warrior, Indian Paintbrush, Milkmaids, Padre's Shooting Stars, Blue dick, California Saxifrage, Bush Poppy, Fiddleneck, Plantain-leaf Pussytoes, Lupine, California Poppies.

Fauna: California Condors, Turkey Vultures, Ravens, Falcons, California King Snake, Wild Turkeys, Black-tailed Deer.

Transportation: Carpool and caravan to the visitor's center. Shuttle from Visitor's Center to Bear Gulch parking lot.

No dogs allowed on the trail.

Dinner: Build-A-Burrito Trail Gate at the park campsites.

Participants: (30) Connie & Tom, Sam & Barb, Tracy & George, Debbie & Bob, Becky & Steve, Monica, Nick & Nina, Jackie & Dave, Christina, Cathy, Cynthia, Tim & Duncan, Rachel & Josh, Sierra & Berkley, Jesse, Marycollette, Alyssa & Robert, Ashley & Davyd.

Comments: Now that The Pinnacles is a National Park it has gotten a lot more popular internationally. We listened to groups of men speaking French and Italian on the trail. The downside is that parking is at a premium. The lots were full and the shuttles were busy. But the trails didn't seem exceedingly crowded. The Condors were putting on a show. We saw four pair the entire time we were on the High Peaks trail.

Had to move into the "might attend" slot.. back is out, walking and breathing are difficult at this point and there's an issue of a family baby shower BBQ that my presence has been requested…

Everybody knows how much I hate wildflowers. I'll have two cameras with me.

Should be fun with some interesting indigenous flowers in bloom!

For Saturday's hike to the Pinnacles, could I be picked up in Turlock, perhaps at the parking lot of Walmart?
