Trip Notes - YNP: Lyell Canyon

Weather: Sunny and 70 degrees.

Trail Head: Parking lot of the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge.

Parking: Dog Lake Trail Head near the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge.

Fee: $20 Yosemite Park entrance fee or pass.

Description: Easy 4 to 16 mile up and back along the Lyell fork of the Tuolumne with no more than 300 ft. elevation change. Alternate hike was down Vogelsang trail to bag Rafferty Peak. About 14 miles, moderately strenuous.

Dinner: Cocina Michoacana in Groveland and Cafe Bravo in Oakdale..

No dogs on this one.

Comments: The weather was perfect. The water was an amazing color. Nick, Nina, Ralph & Christina bagged Rafferty Peak. Chuck hiked about 16 miles, Connie & I hiked 10. We dined in groups at the two restaurants.
