Event Description
Photo: Jackie on North Dome.
Trail head: Porcupine Creek on Tioga Road.
Weather: Sunny & breezy, low sixties.
Fee: $20/car or Annual Pass.
Elevation: 8100 ft. at the trail head, 8340 ft. at Indian Rock, 7540 ft. at North Dome.
Mileage: 9.4 miles includes Indian Rock.
Difficulty: Moderate with a repeated elevation loss and gain of about 800 ft.
Fauna: Gregarious golden-mantled ground squirrels on North Dome, deer, chickoree.
Dinner: Pot luck at the trail head.
Participants: (7) Ralph Medema, Bobbie Ables-Smith, Barb Hayes, Kimberly Dawn, Jackie Lederle, Steven Fotheringham, Becky Teberg.
Notes: Beautiful day, everyone completed all aspects of the hike.

Tom is leaving for a week to Maryland on Sunday. I want to spend time with him and he has an early morning flight. I really need a hike but I will wait until the next one. I am healthy. Tom, not so much.
