Event Description
Photo: Golden Cascade Falls.
Trail head: Big Basin SP Headquarters.
Entrance Fee per car: $10.00.
Park Map: $3.00.
Weather: 64 degrees and sunny.
Elevation: 1000 ft. at trail head.
Mileage: 11-mile CW loop.
Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous because of the length and constant elevation change. Lowest elevation is 300 ft., the highest is 1300 ft.
Waterfall Features: Silver, Berry Creek and Golden Cascade.
Dinner: Dined at a pizza deli in Saratoga.
Participants: (8) Jackie Lederle, Pov Seng, Nick Teberg, Cheeyan Ong, Jeanette Farley, Barb Moran, Eric Teberg, Becky Teberg.
Comments: The CW direction selected by Pov was best because the hike was against the flow of the creeks for better views of the falls.
