Event Description
Burst Rock Trail to Powell Lake to Chewing Gum Lake and back in the Emigrant Wilderness. The full hike is 8.6 miles with an elevation gain and loss of 2000 ft. The full hike is an option. We'll lunch at Powell Lake which is at the 2-mile point.
Leashed dogs are welcome.
Trail head is Gianelli Cabin at 8600 ft., almost 18 miles from Hwy 108. The last 6.8 miles is on a dirt road.

Since my 97 yr old mother had a hip replacement then developed jaundice and needed a stint,I've been "occupied." Two trips to the acute care hospital and now time in a rehab hospital and my mother is doing as well as you could expect. I'm just trying to keep things going for her the best I can so,no hiking this month............xoxoxox
