Event Description

Photo: Group lunching at not-Preston Falls.

Trail head: Kirkwood Powerhouse on the Tuolumne River at Cherry Lake Rd.

Land Status: Stanislaus National Forest.

Weather: Dry and 34 degrees starting out. 49 degrees by 4PM.

Elevation: 2450 ft. at trail head.

Mileage: 8.0 miles up and back.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate with only a 400 ft. elevation gain and loss.

Fee: $0.

Fauna: Deer, Canyon Wren, no newts.

Dinner: Cafe Bravo in Oakdale.

Comments: Cold, but dry until we finished the hike. Hiked from 10:40 to 3:45.
