Event Description
Photo: The Hair of Inspiring Heights. (Kimberly, Bobbie, Connie, Kellie, Barb and Ashley.
Photo Album $117.
Weather: Mostly cloudy, high in the mid-sixties.
Easy 6.4 mile loop on Del Valle's east shore. Actually we took the wrong trail(s) but managed to squeeze about 6 miles out of the hike.
Elevation: 623 ft. at the trail head with a 735 ft. elevation gain because of the missed proposed trail.
Entrance Fee: $6/car. Dog fee: $2.
Transportation: Carpooled with the goal of beginning our hike at 10:15am. Actually began at about 10:45am. Nick and Nina began after noon.
Flora: A few California Poppies and one Paintbrush.
Fauna: This is a dog park so there were many dogs.
Dinner: Casa Orozco in Livermore. (18 diners)
Participants: (25) Kimberly Bray, Stefanie Rochow, Jeanette Farley, Barb Hayes, Kellie McGraw, Ken Keith, Connie & Tom Metz, Brenda with Rachel, Sierra & Berkley Golding, Steve Fotheringham, Bobbie Ables-Smith, Monica Rose Casey, Ashley Jennings, Sarah Massey, Don Mulcahy, Jay Randall, Nina Shah, Shaun Stoker, Jennifer Sutton, Lisa, Nick & Becky Teberg.
Canine: Jacques, Zak, Peanut & Rosco.
Notes: We welcomed 7 new members to the group. Most of us did between 4 and 6 miles. Stefanie and Ken probably did 10 miles. Three of the five 50-Plus Hikers received their gifts at dinner.

I very much enjoyed the Pinnacles hike and meeting everyone. Sorry can't make the Del Valle event. Happy hiking. Next time.
