Weather:Partly cloudy and 61 degrees after a couple of weeks of thunderstorms.
Description: Short, strenuous 5.0 mile up and back to St. Mary's Pass and Sonora Peak at 11,459 ft.
Elevation Gain: 2000 ft.
Trail Head: .8 miles west of Sonora Pass on SR 108 at the St. Mary's Trail Head.
Fees: None.
Dogs were welcome but we had none.
Flora: Gully of Pussypaws. plateau of Brewer's Lupine.
Fauna: Doe flushed out near the trail.
Dinner: Snacks at the trail head.
Participants: (8) Monica Rose Casey, Don Mulcahy, Chuck Flores, La Verne Self, Ethan Lang, Shari Scott, Luke Harrell, Becky Teberg.
Comments: Nice to see vernal creeks running after the thunderstorms. Thunderclouds formed but the rain was east of us. Perfect day for hiking.
